About
A record label and artist management company in Lagos, Nigeria.
We work with Middy Offishall, who makes Afrobeats and dancehall and also works as a mixing and mastering engineer. Everything we have released is listed on the releases page, with full credits and identifiers on every one.
Our origin story
Rype muziQ Entertainment was founded in 2020 and is run by the Awosusi brothers. Two brothers, one catalogue, and a conviction that a record deserves to be presented as carefully as it was made.
Small roster, long horizon, nothing signed we cannot stand behind. Every release carries its full credits, because the people who made it should be named on it.
The sound we create
Afrobeats and dancehall, built for a system that moves air. Drums forward, low end that arrives before the vocal does, and space left where most records would put another layer.
Everything is mixed and mastered in house, which means the record you hear is the record we intended, not the one a chain of hands agreed on.
